Dream Syndicate's Steve Wynn To Perform Medicine Show At Special 25th Anniversary Concerts
PR reports: Ronald Reagan makes a run at a second term as president, the Berlin Wall is still intact, Boy George tops the charts and has yet to spend a day in jail or collecting trash in lower Manhattan, MTV seems to be a fad that might just stick around, cell phones and the internet aren't much more than space-age rumors alongside jet-packs and time travel. Most of the more dire predictions in George Orwell's book haven't come true. Yet. And the Dream Syndicate releases its second album "Medicine Show."

Steve Wynn, former leader of the Dream Syndicate, and his current band the Miracle 3 will commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the release of "Medicine Show" with two shows in New York City and Los Angeles (see dates below) where they will play the classic album from start to finish for the first time. The Miracle 3Steve's long-time band of Jason Victor, Dave Decastro and Linda Pitmondid similar shows for "The Days of Wine and Roses" in 2001.

"I always loved this record and felt it has lived in the shadows of 'The Days of Wine and Roses,'" said Wynn. "So it will be nice to have a couple of nights to let it stand up on its own and see how it stands up to a quarter of a century."

Visa Issue Delays Marduk Tour Plans
PR reports: The situation with Marduk not having performed during the first week of Blackenedfest is due to vocalist Mortuus not having received his visa yet. Note, it is not a "denied" visa. The band filed for a P-1 non-immigrant work visa, which is required for a band to play in the states. The visa was approved by the United States Government's Homeland Security Office.

Furthermore, as required, the band members each individually went to their Visa appointments at the US Embassy in Stockholm for the standard interview, at which point the persons handling the band's applications informed the band that there was no further action needed and that they should expect their passports in the mail with the P-1 visa attached. Everyone in the band received theirs except Mortuus.

The day before tour, while the rest of the band were at the airport awaiting to board their flights to the US, Mortuus returned to the embassy to inquire as to the location of his passport. At this point, he was informed that he was missing one document in order to finalize the visa. - more on this story

Big Boy Using The Band in a Bubble Gimmick
PR reports: German rock sensations Big Boy plan to take over Los Angeles and have begun to do so by living in a bubble, Literally. Stay Hotel on 6th and Main Street in downtown has become home for these striking musicians. They are living in the hotel's "Stay in a Bubble", a glass store front room that is an open invite for any passerby to stop and watch what the band is doing at all hours of the day and night.

The band has submerged to live in this "bubble" as it is part of a reality show series they are in production for called "Being BIG BOY". In the show, the band is documenting their quest for fame and stardom in the United States. Front man Johannes says "We are on a religious path to free ourselves creatively and subject to total embarrassment in the process"

Big Boy has definitely had their work cut out for them as upon arriving in the states they lost their Guitarist Gabor, who was unable to handle the pressures of being under the eyes of everyone to see. Now, as part of bringing Big Boy back full circle, the band will be holding auditions for a new guitarist and are extending an invitation for everyone to see what it is like to be part of their life in a bubble. - more on this story

Scissor Sisters Del Marquis' Litter To Society
PR reports: With the release of his video for Litter To Society, Del Marquis, guitarist for Scissor Sisters, has once again combined his music with visuals that create a truly amazing multi-sensory experience.

Litter To Society is the title track and first single off Marquis' newly released album. Directed by Embryoroom, the video flashes a constant barrage of black-and-white images across the screen as Marquis walks through different cityscapes. The internal struggle of an artist attempting to define himself in a world of distractions is evident through the scenes portrayed.

Following the recent release of his two EPs, Hothouse in December and Character Assassination in March, Litter To Society is the next step in Marquis' exploration of dark-themed pop music, and the video continues to develop that trend. - Watch the music video for Del Marquis "Litter To Society" here
