It deals with trying to escape and forget about lies that were told to you. It also goes on to question the others that you are dealing with as well as yourself. The main theme is trying to erase past pain and replace it with positive new memories.

John LaRussa: I wrote this song with the mindset to be more melodic all the way through. I didn't want to write a chaotic song, I wanted to write a song full of melody. Because the end was so "heavy." So I wanted to keep the technicality of what the album had, but still keep the song catchy. I think the song captures the punch of the album, but people will realize that it's a different step from the rest of the record the more they listen to it.
