But now Adams has had enough - he's denying all the accusations and suggests Love has him confused with Barber, who produced his 2003 album Rock n Roll.

Metallica's Marin Concert Offered For Download
Warner Bros reports: The Marin History Museum has just announced the results of the recent benefit concert by Metallica at the Marin Veteran's Auditorium. The concert, a first by the band in their "adopted" hometown, was highly anticipated and overwhelmingly received, selling out in three days, and providing a financial boost to MHM's Marin Rocks exhibition scheduled to open in 2010. The concert grossed approximately $375,000 and MHM expects to net an estimated $200,000 in proceeds which will help pay for the costs associated with the Marin Rocks project.

"We are thrilled and delighted with the results from the concert," said Merry Alberigi, Executive Director of Marin History Museum. "We've received so many phone calls and emails telling us what a great event it was and what an incredible time was had by all. We're extremely grateful to our donors, our board and staff, and especially to Moonalice, Metallica and their crew, and the wonderful fans who made this event such a success. Marin Rocks will benefit the entire Marin community and it would not be possible without the generous support of our donors, staff, volunteers, and the musicians who live and work here."

In addition to the net proceeds from the live event, the band will donate the proceeds generated from the sales of the mp3 of the Marin show to also benefit Marin Rocks. The Marin show at Marin Veteran's Auditorium can be downloaded from the Metallica website for a fee of $9.95.

Motley Ex Linked To Cocaine Smuggling Ring
ninemsn reports: A US Playboy model has been named as part of an elaborate cocaine smuggling ring allegedly orchestrated by Sydney Bra Boy Wayne Cleveland using airport caterers.

The role of Brandi Brandt, a Playmate of the Month in 1987 and former wife of Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx, in the drug syndicate has been detailed in Australian Federal Police court documents, the Daily Telegraph reports.

Cleveland and Brandt were captured on CCTV footage at the Swiss Grand Hotel in Bondi after the model arrived on the same United Airlines flight in which $1.6 million of cocaine was allegedly found hidden in a toilet rubbish bin. It is alleged the role of Brandt, 43, and her former surfer partner Rusty Setser, was to make sure the cocaine was hidden on flights from Los Angeles.

OK Go Set New Release
PR reports: The mind-bending band that gave us what is largely considered the decade's most viewed music video (even the Simpsons parodied it), the treadmill-manned "Here It Goes Again" is back. Never content to rest on their laurels, OK Go is preparing to tread anything but familiar territory with their upcoming new album, Of The Blue Colour Of The Sky releasing on January 12, 2010 on Capitol Records.

The 13-track opus is the long-awaited follow-up to their acclaimed Oh No, which spawned the 2007 Grammy-award-winning video hit "Here It Goes Again" (setting numerous viewing records as it helped transform the then-fledgling YouTube into a household name)." Of the Blue Colour of the Sky is currently primed to kick off 2010 as one of the new year's most buzzed-about releases. According to lead singer, Damian Kulash, the new album springs from a different departure point than previous OK Go releases. "It's not so much that we headed in a new direction. I think we've just expended the guitar-rock ideas from our teens and we're starting to get at more root-level influences. There's a lot of Purple Rain on this record - an album I haven't stopped listening to since I got it when I was eleven."

Kulash added that record's title comes from an 1876 book promoting the erroneous theory that blue light cures all ills. As fits a record influenced by Prince and crackpot 19th century arm-chair scientists, the record is both danceable and contemplative; it's introspective, with a vein of surrealism running through it. There's a song that considers the earth before it was round, one sung by a man who's traded places with his reflection, and plenty of heartbreak and (attempts at) hope, mostly hung on a groovier backbone than we've heard from OK Go before. "We started these songs with a groove," Damian says. "They started as base feelings, not chord progressions or lyrical ideas, and then we layered." After 2005's Oh No, recorded nearly live with minimal overdubs, and their swaggering 2008 EP You're not Alone, backed by the trombone band Bonerama (a benefit for musicians displaced by hurricane Katrina), this new sound comes as something of a departure. - more on this story
