Original Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony is surprised that he has become the only member from the iconic band's debut lineup to continue to perform live, and that Eddie Van Halen's death spelled the end of "on the original Van Halen or any incarnation of Van Halen."

Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher says that the reunited band with his brother Noel have already completed work on a new album, which would mark the acclaimed band's first new record since 2008 "Dig Out Your Soul".

Liam broke the news while interacting with fans via social media. A fan asked they could expect the reunited band to release a new album and Gallagher responded, "Yep it's already finished," according to Classic Rock. (continue)

Boston Manor frontman Henry Cox has shared his thoughts about the band's brand new studio album, "Sundiver", which was released this past Friday, September 6th.

Henry shared, "Sundiver is the culmination of two years work and four years of planning. Going into the pandemic we knew our next record would be a double album released in two parts, the first a short shadowy-noiry electronic record set over one night and the second a sprawling rock record that documents the following day. Both albums are products of their environments, we made Datura in the dead of winter in a windowless studio complex that mostly just produced techno, we'd enter before the sun rose and leave long after it set, basically never seeing sunlight. We made Sundiver in Welwyn Garden City over two summers, we barbecued every day & would walk across the road to a meadow and just take naps in the sunshine when we weren't recording. (continue)

(hennemusic) Metallica is streaming pro-shot video of a performance of its 1983 classic, "Hit The Lights", from an August 16 show in Minneapolis, MN. The first of two shows at the city's U.S. Bank Stadium delivered a 15-song set that featured songs from eight of the band's studio albums.

"Hit The Lights" was the opening tack on Metallica's debut, "Kill 'Em All", which was issued following the group's signing with independent label Megaforce Records. (continue)

The 40th anniversary of Talking Heads' 'Stop Making Sense" album is being celebrated by the syndicated radio show In The Studio With Redbeard: The Stories Behind History's Greatest Rock Bands.

Redbeard shared this synopsis for the episode: As one of the best rock concert films both critically and commercially, the fortieth anniversary of Talking Heads' movie and soundtrack album Stop Making Sense certainly warrants the remastering effort now available. By the time of the filming for the original movie release in October 1984, David Byrne and Talking Heads had more than five years of performing in front of increasingly larger crowds. (read more)
