Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals announced a 15-date summer tour. The tour will kick off on May 30th at the Lincoln Theatre in Washington DC with stops at The Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York City, Higher Ground Ballroom in Burlington, VT, Auditorium Theatre in Chicago, The Pabst Theater in Milwaukee, WI, and the Fox Theater in Oakland, CA, among other cities. The tour will conclude on August 24th at The Orpheum in Los Angeles.
The tour will see Harper perform fan-favorites from his extensive catalog as well as tracks from his critically acclaimed 2023 album, Wide Open Light (Chrysalis Records), which featured a number of special guests, including Jack Johnson on "Yard Sale," Shelby Lynne on "8 minutes," and Piers Faccinion on the title track. Joining The Doobie Brothers on the Walk This Road Tour will be special guests The Coral Reefer Band.
The Coral Reefer Band is the touring and recording band of beloved American singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett. The band performed with Buffett until his passing in 2023, and continues celebrating and performing his music at his request. The band reunited for the first time at 2024's 'Keep the Party Going: A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett' concert at the Hollywood Bowl. The Dollyrots and Don't Panic have announced that they will be teaming up to launch a coheadlining tour of the UK this spring that will feature nine shows all over the UK to parts of England, Scotland and Wales .
The tour will be kicking off in Glasgow on April 25th, will include a return to London's famous New Cross Inn, and will be wrapping up at the famed Key Club in Leeds on May 3rd. (continue)
New York Dolls legend David Johansen has revealed that he has been battling stage 4 cancer and a brain tumor. Sweet Relief has launched a fund to help with his treatment. Kid Logic Media sent over the following details:
David Johansen, legendary co-founder of the New York Dolls, has been living with stage 4 cancer and a brain tumor. Diagnosed in 2020, Johansen made the decision to keep his illness private, but due to the severe financial burden, he is ready to share. In November 2024, he fell and broke his back in two places, which required surgery. Despite a successful procedure, David is bedridden and incapacitated. For the best chance of recovery, he requires around-the-clock care. (continue)

Redbeard shared this synopsis for the two-episode special: By the time of its late February 1975 release, Led Zeppelin's sixth album, Physical Graffiti, signaled a fundamental change in the popular music and media equation that began with IV . With "Stairway to Heaven" Led Zeppelin had proven that the album format had matured to the point that a hit single for Top 40 radio was no longer a necessity for huge album sales in America. By the time of recording the wide variety of styles for Physical Graffiti's four sides, a hit single wasn't even a consideration for Page, lead singer/lyricist Robert Plant, bass playing multi-instrumentalist John Paul Jones, and legendary drummer John Bonham.
