Dust off your denim and leather and flex your devil horns: Twisted Sister is back - bigger, louder, and more unapologetic than ever. The band that gave the world "We're Not Gonna Take It" and "I Wanna Rock" has confirmed they will storm stages worldwide in 2026, celebrating their 50th anniversary.
While full details remain under wraps (because even metal legends love a good tease), founding guitarist and manager Jay Jay French couldn't contain his excitement about reaching a milestone that once seemed impossible: "Beginning on February 2nd, 1976 in a little bar called The Turtleneck Inn in Hunter Mountain, NY, Dee Snider, Eddie Ojeda and I have called ourselves Twisted Sister and stood shoulder to shoulder for nearly five decades, through multiple personnel changes and thousands of performances. We are proud to celebrate a milestone that once felt unthinkable: a 50-year anniversary!! We have created a music and performance legacy that has and will continue to inspire millions of fans around the world. Twisted Forever, Forever Twisted!" (continue)

A music video for the song is also being released that shows Wolfgang playing in the iconic 5150 studio where the song was recorded. The song was produced by friend and collaborator Michael "Elvis" Baskette. (continue)

Tortoise announce Touch, the first new album from the groundbreaking group since 2016. This new record from the post-everything icons comes via International Anthem and Nonesuch Records on LP, CD, and digital download on October 24, 2025, and on streaming services on November 11, 2025. Lead single "Layered Presence" - which also comes via video filmed and directed by Mikel Patrick Avery - is out on all DSPs now.
With Touch, the Tortoise bandmembers - Dan Bitney, John Herndon, Douglas McCombs, John McEntire, and Jeff Parker - harness their collectivist songwriting approach, a slightly anarchistic but resolutely egalitarian process where ideas triumph over ego towards an abstracted muscularity. While there are still excursions into the dusky, elegantly gnarled jazz ambience that flourished on landmark works like Millions Now Living Will Never Die and TNT, Touch is perhaps most remarkable for Tortoise's unapologetic embrace of grand gesture. Aerodynamically re-engineered Krautrock, hand-cranked techno rave-ups, and pointillist spaghetti western fanfares are all imbued with Tortoise's now-signature internal logic - equally alluring and confounding, a puzzle to be savored rather than solved. Stream the album now HERE. The reimagined version brings new weight and perspective, layering in Brian Wille's commanding vocals and Anthony Notarmaso's unmistakable intensity. What began as a personal reckoning now expands, bridging three of the scene's most respected forces into a single moment of cathartic heaviness. (continue)

Parcels have released the fifth single, titled "Sorry" from their upcoming studio album, LOVED, set for release on September 12th via Because Music.
"Sorry" gives listeners one final taste of LOVED before its Friday release. Of the song, the band says, "Sorry began in Berlin and also went through many different studios and recording processes. It has some Rihanna inspiration, Te Amo, and the nylon guitars felt right to throw it into another world. Again, I wanted the lyrics to be a bit ambiguous. On one hand it's an earnest apology, it hurts to be loved and that's hard. It's an apology to a specific person but also to everyone in general. Extending a hand. At the same time it feels insincere in some moments, a little sarcastic. It has a colder side to it I think." (continue)
Mayday Parade continue their 20th anniversary celebration with today's release of "One Day At A Time," a bittersweet track from Sad - the second installment of their three-part album project, arriving October 3rd.
Reflective and steeped in nostalgia, the song embraces life's highs and lows while acknowledging the inevitable changes of growing older. Guitarist Brooks Betts describes it as "A song about growing through life and getting better as you go. Correcting the past mistakes and understanding that life changes and evolves. It's self reflection and knowing that no one is perfect." (continue)

Bad Omens are back with "Impose", a single that proves the band continues to push the boundaries of modern rock. Known for fusing industrial textures, electronic flourishes, and unrelenting emotion, the band takes their signature intensity in bold new directions with this release.
"Impose" opens with delicate piano lines and atmospheric, industrial-inspired electronic flourishes, anchored by hypnotic percussion that drives the song forward. The layered instrumentation creates a haunting soundscape, allowing Noah Sebastian's piercing, emotional vocals to cut through with striking impact. The single is accompanied by an indie film-inspired video that captures the emotional intensity of the track. Directed by Sebastian and Nico, the visual follows a disorienting romantic all-nighter after a chance encounter at a nightclub. Rather than a love story, it captures a woman stuck in a cycle of fast living, with the man merely a bystander to her unraveling. (continue)
Ashes And Diamonds, featuring Daniel Ash (Bauhaus, Love And Rockets, Tones on Tail), Bruce Smith (Public Image Ltd., The Pop Group), and Paul Spencer Denman (Sade, Sweetback), have shared a new single "Setting Yourself Up For Love", from their forthcoming album "Ashes And Diamonds Are Forever", which will arrive on Halloween (Oct 31).
Reybee sent over these details: Guitarist/vocalist Ash said of the track, "I love the way this one builds and builds". "Setting Yourself Up For Love" eases up on the gas pedal at the onset, only to build up in momentum. "It occurred to us that we should put something out for the second single that was more in the way of a real song as opposed to a stomping groove that was 'On A Rocka,' showing that we are not a one trick pony. Haha!" (continue)

Motorhead have shared previously unreleased collaboration with punk legends The Damned on their classic song "Neat Neat Neat" to announced that the forthcoming "Led By Deaf - A Punk Tribute To Motorhead ", which will hit stores on Halloween.
Here is the official announcement: Heavy metal and punk rock! It's fair to say that these two noisy tribes now have a great deal in common - often melding together, almost indistinguishable, to produce bastard offspring of their own. But it wasn't always this way. Indeed, there was a time when fists were more likely to be thrown than bumped, and beers more likely to be hurled than shared - except when it came to Motorhead. That was the one band all could agree on. The one band that was truly ours! (continue)

On September 10, 1971, John Lennon & Yoko Ono were staying at the St. Regis Hotel in New York City. They were busy filming and editing "Imagine" - their groundbreaking longform music film to accompany the Imagine album. Before they went out to film the beach scenes that day at South Beach, Staten Island, they created two films, "Freedom" and "Clock."
"Freedom" was Yoko's idea - a mid-shot of a woman struggling to escape her bra. "Clock" was John's idea, filming a carriage clock for an hour, with John & Yoko in the room, in the mirror. The concept was that different actions could happen at different times in the hour, and the film could then act as an hourly clock. (continue)
