The shows producers, New Line Television, hired Davis for the job following his work on the score for the film "Queen of the Damned".
Davis who says that he grew up watching repeats of the original Twilight Zone jumped at the chance to pen the new score.
"I just thought it would be awesome," MTV news quotes Davis as saying. "I've been a huge fan ever since I can remember. When I was a kid, they'd have a 'Twilight Zone' marathon on Thanksgiving, and I'd watch them forever. One year I videotaped all 24 hours of it, and I watched them all the time."
The new theme song is said to contain elements that will be familiar to Korn fans and MTV reports that the tempo is unconventional and the tone barren, creating an eerie, elastic mood, and it ends with the minor-key keyboard line from the original series.
You can catch the new theme song when it debuts tonight (Wednesday Feb 26th) on UPN.
