On Tuesday Iron Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson gave an interview to the British radio network BBCs Radio 1 to plug the bands forthcoming appearance at the Download festival later this month at Donington Park.
The interviewer asked Dickinson if he was disappointed with the news that Limp Bizkit had pulled out of the festival and Dickinson replied, Well, you knowit's ermno! Personally, I'd want to see AUDIOSLAVE than LIMP BIZKIT any day of the week. I don't think people are going to get any less for their money by not seeing Fred Durst with his baseball cap on the wrong way. From the point of view of our tickets sales, it makes no different because ya boo sucks, we sold more tickets than they did anyway. Oops! (laughs).
Perhaps seeing the writing on the wall, Staind now wants to distance themselves from the man who helped give them their big break. In an interview with Undercover News Staind's Jon Wysocki, says that Staind is no longer tied to Durst. "We kind of cut our ties with Fred not for any other reason other than wanting to get away from having that label of Fred's band said Wysocki. "We are not Fred's band. He definitely got us started and got us going on the right foot and brought us to the right people but we had to do it on our own. We had to show people that this is us. You kind of just have to break away after a while".
The undercover article continues, Fred launched Staind at the time of the Limp Bizkit album 'Three Dollar Bill, Y'all". Staind played at the launch party. That was a lot of fun says Jon.
"At that time we really had a chance to hang with those guys. It was more of a party atmosphere, just a lot of fun. It wasn't a pressure situation. We just got up (like we always do) and just play our gig.
The new Staind album '14 Shades Of Grey'
will be released next week.

When asked why he reports so much stupid news on Fred Durst, antiGUY responds "because it's fun to watch the Durst circus and a lot of readers love to make fun of Durst and this gives them the opportunity". .
