Doctors diagnosed Bennington with bronchitis and acute laryngitis, and a doctor advised the singer to cancel Friday nights performance, according to a MTV News report.
It appears that Bennington saw a doctor because he wasnt feeling well on Thursday night when the group appeared at the Long Beach Arena. When he woke up the next morning feeling worst, he opted to receive medical treatment.
Bennington has had other medical problems over the past year. He was hospitalized in June after suffering severe back and abdominal pains. In July he announced that he was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia, which would require surgery to correct.
MTV reports that a spokesperson for the group said that Bennington rested over the weekend and the band hopes to go forward with a scheduled concert Tuesday night in Utah.
The group has rescheduled the missed date at the Forum for March 15th, which will be the final show for the current tour.
