25.4 million viewers tuned in to say farewell to "Frasier" on Thursday night, giving the long running primetime sitcom its biggest audience in 3 ½ years.  The NBC sitcom played its last chorus of "Tossed Salad & Scrambled Eggs," as the title character had to make a decision between love or his career.

The radio psychiatrist was also signing off in the show, as Frasier said goodbye to his Seattle radio show listeners with a bit of poetry. The big send off episode also saw the marriage of Frasiers father Martin (John Mahoney), and the birth of his nephew to younger brother Niles (David Hyde Pierce) and Daphne (Jane Leeves).  During the end credits fans were treated to their last "Frasier has left the building." Indeed, he had.

Frasier started as a walk on character for the hit sitcom "Cheers". He was only supposed to appear in a few episodes; little did Kelsey Grammer know that he would ride that series to its conclusion and then helm a successful spin-off that would have an 11-year run and earn 31 Emmy Awards, including five consecutive best comedy awards.

Despite drawing in over 25 million viewers and beating out "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," the "Frasier" send off only attracted half the viewers than last weeks much hyped series finale of Friends.

Grammer was interested in another spin-off but NBC declined?  Whats next for him? We shall have to wait and see, but has expressed interest in running for elective office once his acting career wound down. So will we see Senator Kelsey to compliment Governor Schwarzenegger?
