Filmed for broadcast on MTV in 1983, Live From The Garden State features the bands original lineup, (with the exception of Tommy Caldwell, who passed away the previous year), front man Doug Gray, lead guitarist Toy Caldwell, rhythm guitarist George McCorkle, drummer Paul Riddle, and multi-instrument (flute, saxophone, keyboards, vocals) player Jerry Eubanks. The DVD also includes a brand new biographical documentary, Which One Is Marshall Tucker?, filled with interviews with the surviving band members, and friends Travis Tritt and Charlie Daniels.
After forming in 1971, the Marshall Tucker Band spent the better part of the 70s touring non-stop with the likes of the Allman Brothers Band, and released a string of platinum-selling albums. In 1980, bass player Tommy Caldwell died tragically in a car accident, and in 1983, George, Paul and Toy decided to leave the band. In 1984, Gray and Eubanks recruited new band members, and one of the most beloved southern rock bands on the touring circuit continued to tour and release new albums including their latest, Beyond The Horizon.
