The action adventure featuring Matthew McConaughey, Penelope Cruz and William H. Macy was expected only to bring in around $10 million during opening weekend.
Drew Barrymore's romantic comedy "Fever Pitch" enjoyed a third place finish with an opening weekend gross of $13 million.
The Bernie Mac, Ashton Kutcher comedy remake "Guess Who" was no 4 for it's third week in theatres with $7.1 million at the box office. Queen Latifah's "Beauty Shop" tied for fourth place according to estimates.
The top 5 (if you don't count the tie at No. 4) was rounded out by "Robots," which earned an additional $4.7 this weekend.
