Subscribers to 14 Advance Magazine Group publications will receive a "Fashion Rocks" special collectors' edition magazine with their October issues.

"Fashion Rocks" will feature performances by some of the music industries' biggest stars: David Bowie, Destiny's Child (in their last televised appearance as a group), Duran Duran, Billy Idol, Alicia Keys, Tim McGraw, Nelly, Shakira, Gwen Stefani, Joss Stone, The Arcade Fire and Rob Thomas.

"Fashion and music are two of the most exciting driving forces in pop culture today," said Jack Sussman, Senior VP, Specials, CBS Entertainment. "By combining the best elements of these genres in 'Fashion Rocks,' we look forward to creating a great television event with music's biggest acts and fashion's top stars."

"Music continues to be an incredible influence on fashion," says Richard Beckman, President of the Cond Nast Media Group. "'Fashion Rocks' showcases that relationship and promises to be one of the most entertaining nights of the year. We are delighted to be working with our three key advertisers Citi, Chevrolet and L'Oral Paris, and to be broadcast on CBS, the #1 television network."

In their last televised appearance as a group, two-time Grammy Award winners "Destiny's Child" will say farewell with what is sure to be a memorable performance. David Bowie is one of the most celebrated and respected musicians in the world with approximately 140 million albums sold worldwide over the course of his remarkable career. Two-time Grammy Award-winning group "Duran Duran" has been honored with five major lifetime achievement awards over the past four years, and their current world tour, "Astronaut," is selling out to crowds worldwide. Along with "Duran Duran", Billy Idol was one of the first pop/rock artists to achieve massive success in the early 80's in the United States. He released the album Devil's Playground earlier this year and is currently on tour in support of it.

Although she is a relative newcomer, Alicia Keys has made an impressive mark on the music industry over the past few years winning nine Grammy Awards and numerous other accolades for her two multi-platinum albums. Country super star Tim McGraw is a multiple ACM, Grammy and CMA Award winner and commonly regarded as the most popular male singer in country music. Three-time Grammy Award winner and rap star Nelly has collaborated with some of the biggest names in music, and as a solo artist, has sold upwards of 20 million albums. Latin sensation Shakira is a Grammy and three-time Latin Grammy Award winner who achieved cross-over success in the U.S. in 2001 with her album Laundry Service, and who is releasing two new albums this year. Gwen Stefani is a three-time Grammy Award winner as a soloist and as the lead singer for "No Doubt." Her solo album Love, Angel, Music, Baby was certified double platinum this May.

At the age of 18, English singer Joss Stone has become one of the leading voices of adult alternative pop-rock/R&B and her first two albums have received critical acclaim for her soulful performances. Canadian quintet "The Arcade Fire" released their debut album Funeral last year and is quickly becoming one of the indie rock community's hottest new bands. As the lead singer for the multi-platinum selling band "matchbox twenty," three-time Grammy Award winner Rob Thomas' band had more number one hits and spent more weeks at number one on the Adult Top 40 charts than any other artist in history. As a solo artist, he is widely considered one of the most gifted songwriters in contemporary music, and his solo album debuted at number one in its first week of release, making it the first time that a male artist from a rock or pop group has debuted at number one with their first solo album in the 50 year history of the Billboard charts.
