Illustrator Marc Nordstrom lends his unique talents to help bring the story to life, animating the fascinating cast of characters in Tales of The Rondo both inside the CD insert/comic book and projected behind the band during their highly energized live performances.
Producer Andre Johnson cleverly crafts the tracks that chronicle the adventure tapping into a broad range of genres and influences from reggae and hip hop to heavy metal, bringing them all together in a cohesively funky concept. Drummer Jeremy Hoenig provides the pulsing beats throughout the album accompanied by bassist Ubi Whitaker. Emerald Triangle also features Metal Church/Vicious Rumors guitarist Ira Black, layering the bands sound with his beautifully diverse guitar work and wailing melodies. Vocalist Jade Steel brilliantly displays his range, easily transitioning through genres belting out lyrics concerning fears tempered with a historical perspective while maintaining a tongue-in-cheek sense of humor.
Emerald Triangle will be taking their circus from coast to coast in late January, kicking off 2006 with one of the most fun and interesting tours the year will probably see.
