O.C. Confidential, released on July 12th, 2005, is The Adolescents fourth full-length release of new material since they formed in Fullerton, Calif. in 1980. In 1981, the band released their eponymous debut CD (also known as the blue album) on Frontier Records and along with Agent Orange and Social Distortion became crowd favorites of the burgeoning O.C. punk scene. Amoeba, the bands first single was prominently featured on noted DJ Rodney Bingenheimers compilation Rodney on the Roq and quickly established The Adolescents as fan favorites. According to All Music Guide, The Adolescents helped establish the blueprint for Orange County punk.
