(PR) 2006 Olympic Gold Medalist snowboarder Hannah Teter is not only one of the youngest and most accomplished athletes in the world-she's also a self-proclaimed lover of independent music and at 19 years old, the organizer of her own charitable organization, Hannah's Gold, which, partnered with World Vision, sells beautifully packaged, handmade gourmet maple syrup from her home state of Burlington VT, the proceeds of which go directly to benefit impoverished children throughout Africa and AIDS research. But her fundraising efforts do not stop there. On September 15, 2006, Hannah will host a night of world-class music to help raise money for Hannah's Gold. Featuring the Afro-Brazilian rock of Delta Nove and the industrial roots funk of Strive Roots, attendees are not only in for a night of soul shaking music, but Hannah will also be on hand to sign merchandise and chat with the crowd about her work.
