Ari Hest's Little Lies

. (PR) Columbia Records signed singer-songwriter, Ari Hest, who recorded his entire debut EP in the living room of his Brooklyn apartment. Ari spent all of last summer holed up in his living room playing all the instruments for his debut EP The Green Room Sessions - acoustic and electric guitar, bass, keyboards, harmonica and percussion as well as singing all of the vocals and using whatever else he had laying around to fill out the album be it a sea salt container or water noise from the pipes. Using Apple's Garage Band software, Ari single-handedly pulled together an inspiring major label debut. Along with the four original tracks on The Green Room Sessions, Ari includes a cover of the legendary Fleetwood Mac's "Little Lies." The EP is a taste of his upcoming full length album The Break In which was recorded with Mitchell Froom and is set for release in March of 2007. The album will include two tracks from the EP, "So Slow" and "Just As Well," the remainder being all new, previously unreleased material.
