. (antiMusic) As many of you know Radiohead's Thom Yorke has decided to release a solo CD dubbed "The Eraser" which hits stores in North America on July 11th. Some have wondered why Thom would take a break from working on the new Radiohead album to work on this effort and he explained to The Observer that part of the reason was that he immense amount of time working with Radiohead "was getting boring."

"It felt like everyone was under obligation to do it rather than because we wanted to do it," Yorke told the paper. "And one of the things I had wanted to do for ages was get stuck into a bunch of things that I had been mucking around with that didn't fit into the Radiohead zone."
