Drowning Pool Week: Enemy

(antiMusic) Drowning Pool's new CD 'Full Circle' hits stores this week and to celebrate we have asked frontman Ryan McCombs to tell us a little bit about his favorite five songs from the CD. Here is Ryan with his take on the track " Enemy".

Enemy is the most middle-finger-in-the-air song on the record and is about walking away from a destructive situation respectfully. The relationship in the song has one partner who tries to do everything right while the other partner does the opposite. Even though eventually the speaker feels nothing but spite and contempt for the abusive partner, when leaving the relationship, he is still able to take the high-road. I'm sure that my old-school friends and family understand exactly where "Enemy" came from having seen some of the sad, sad BS of recent years.
