A press event will take place on Monday at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles, according to Billboard and the band is expected to announce a reunion tour that will kick off a 50 date North American arena run in October.
Alex and Eddie Van Halen will be joined by original vocalist David Lee Roth and Eddie's son Wolfgang for the tour. Also in October former Van Halen members Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony will also be hitting the road together. Anthony's official site announced that the theatre tour will feature the Mad Anthony Express, Los Tres Gusanos, The Other Half and Sammy and The Wabos.
Original plans for a Van Halen reunion tour this summer were put on hold when Eddie Van Halen entered rehab. At the time Eddie issued a statement explaining, "at the moment I do not feel that I can give you my best. That's why I have decided to enter a rehabilitation facility to work on myself, so that in the future I can deliver the 110 percent that I feel I owe you and want to give you." Looks like the treatment worked.
