Barker was riding through Townsville, Australia around a quarter after 8 in the morning Friday when he heard a woman calling for help down an embankment to Ross Creek. He and another man pulled the victim out of the water but by then it was too late to save him, according to a report by Contact Music.
"I just heard a bit of a ruckus and there was a lady calling for help so myself and another gentleman went down assist. We slid down the embankment, which was quite a steep climb," Barker said. "The other gentleman was administering some chest compressions, but he was oozing a lot of froth which wasn't a good sign. He had a huge bump on his head." Shane Soloman, 22, was declared dead at the scene.
