(PR) Nettwerk Music Group and Indie 103.1's "Passport Approved" are excited to announce the second installment of "Passport Approved Live & Unplugged At The Sync," a series of events that showcase artists from different parts of the world for an evening of international acoustic entertainment at the Sync, Nettwerk LA's own unique lounge. The show will take place Thursday, September 6 at 8:00 PM and feature two Swedish artists on the Nettwerk roster: The Perishers and Kamera.

The Swedish-themed evening was made possible with the help of the Consulate General of Sweden Los Angeles. Comments Swedish Consul Lina van der Weyden: "Sweden is the fifth largest music exporter in the world and there are a number of great new Swedish bands with potential to break through on the international scene. Nettwerk artists Kamera and The Perishers should be very well received on the American market. We're thrilled that "Passport Approved" took the initiative to promote this event both on-air and online."

Nettwerk signed Kamera for North America and the UK in 2007. Resurrection was released digitally on August 28, 2007, and will be at retail on February 8, 2008. Like bands The Cure, New Order and Depeche Mode before them, Kamera blend the electronic with the organic to create their own brand of musical magic for the naughties. Whether playing to a crowd of 35,000 in Stockholm as support band for Robbie Williams, or to a clutch of people in a dusty small town in the middle of nowhere, Kamera always remain vital, using an original fusion of warm melodies, intrinsic electro-synth harmonies, soaring vocals and fresh lyrics to deliver the aesthetically pleasing beat that is their definitive sound. Kamera's self-titled debut album was released in October 2003 to widespread critical acclaim - and the adulation of an army of doting fans. This first studio album put the band on a fast track to success. The singles "At Work", "Fragile", "Suburban Boy" and "Vertigo" were all in high-!

rotation on radio and video channels during 2003 and 2004. In October 2006 the single "Like A Drug" was released, and Kamera was immediately booked as supporting act for Pink's world tour. (www.myspace.com/kamerastyle)

The Perishers will release their sophomore album, VICTORIOUS, on September 4, 2007. Produced by Per Sunding (The Ark, The Cardigans, Junior Senior), Victorious revisits the moonlit, melancholic indie pop that caused thousands of fans to fall in love with The Perishers in the first place. Their North American debut, Let There Be Morning, was a blend of emotional wandering, poetic insight and stark, yet inspirational surroundings;

The New York Times said, "These songs are irresistible," and Entertainment Weekly called the album "a lovely twilight trip." It was an instant music supervisor favorite, with songs landing on the soundtracks to "The O.C.," "One Tree Hill," and "Veronica Mars," among others. The band also caught the attention of Sarah McLachlan, who handpicked them to open her 2005 North American tour -- and even guested on a rousing rendition of "Pills" every night -- upping their potential audience ten-fold and helping them to sell nearly 20,000 copies of Let There Be Morning after just 10 weeks on the road. Nightly album sales reached record-breaking levels, selling close to 1,000 per night! (www.myspace.com/theperishers.com)
