. (DiR) Gawker is reporting that Vh1 Classic may be history. The printed the following quote on their site, " I work for VH1, and half of our floor belongs to VH1 Classic. The entire VH1 Classic department just got axed." The further report that "all the staff producers at MTV2 have been given the heave-ho." Now in a related story from yesterday they reported " This morning, [MTV]chairman and CEO Judy McGrath sent around an email�at 6:17 a.m., no less�announcing that in order to 'explore new business models' because their 'industry is at an inflection point' (??), only 250 people will be let go." But another rumor has it that MTV International staffers are history as well, this one according to Idolator.com. Maybe their new business model will be to actually show music? Nah, won't happen.
