Lareau Debut

(PR) Warrior/Universal Music Group Distribution announces Changes, the major label debut of Lareau featuring singer/songwriter Larry Lareau, drummer Darrin Payne, lead guitarist Pete Gool, bassist Roger Christopherson, and keyboardist Anthony Brown on July 3. The album comes with a bonus track, Change My World, mixed by three-time Grammy-winner F. Reid Shippen

The bandfrom the Jamestown area of Western New York and the Warren area of Pennsylvaniahearkens back to an earlier era of bands like The Eagles, The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield and America on into other such musically-inclined acts as The Fray, Maroon 5 and The Dave Matthews Band where the emphasis is placed on the actual music, composition and harmonic structure.

In this age of style over substance and studio trickery masquerading as talent, Lareau is like a cool mountain stream. The bands title track, Changes, was among the most added songs on Adult Contemporary radio in the country for the week of June 11, 2007, in such distinguished company as Paul McCartney, Gwen Stefani and Bon Jovi, according to industry trade magazine Radio & Records. Changes, in fact, reached #10 on FMQBs AC chart, and is currently #33 on Billboards AC chart and #35 on the Mediabase charts.
