Spearheaded and fronted by Bob Massey, the band consists of a staggering cast of celebrated D.C. area veterans. Having done time in acts such as The Dismemberment Plan, Ida, The Beauty Pill, Crown Hate Ruin, and Canyon, the collective crew's aptitude and experience is relatively unsurpassed in the indie circuit. Stylistically, "Flesh and Spirits" carries a cinematic noir tone. Orchestrated and dramatic, the songs float through hazy, melancholic pop, dim-lit old- time jazz bars, pre-dawn bedroom whispers, and uplifting, layered peaks, ultimately spanning an impressive spectrum of genre and emotion.
