On the day the channel launches XM will also offer the U.S. premiere of the forthcoming reissued two-disc soundtrack for the band's landmark concert film The Song Remains The Same, which features six previously unreleased songs from Led Zeppelin's 1973 Madison Square Garden shows.
XM's U.S. premiere of The Song Remains The Same soundtrack reissue will air in its entirety at 12 midnight (ET) on November 8th with encore broadcasts airing all day to kick off XM LED.
"With this channel, XM has curated the comprehensive Led Zeppelin experience," said Eric Logan, executive vice president of programming, XM. "Often cited as a primary influence for a who's who of modern day musicians, Led Zeppelin is one of the most important rock acts from the last half-century and XM LED will provide fans with the sounds and insights that have made them such enduring rock icons."
