R.Kelly Stole Jacko Song

(antiMusic) R.Kelly and Michael Jackson now have something else in common aside from allegations of having sex with underage partners. A Belgium court has found them guilty of stealing a song from Belgian songwriters that was released two years before their track. oops

The song was "You Are Not Alone" which R.Kelly reportedly wrote for Jackson in 1995. A Brussels court has award the rights to the track to Belgian twins, Eddy and Danny Van Passel, after finding that the song was "largely similar" to one they had written previously, according to Contact Music.

Contact Music further reports: In a court document investigating the plagiarism case, it states: "The largest part of the melody is identical. There is a strong similarity." You Are Not Alone was released in August 1995 and became the first ever single to debut at number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart.
