The appearances come on the heels of the band's successful month-long residency at The Echo in October. More Southern California dates and the band's first ever international show in Mexico City are also on the horizon.
Tigers in the Fire is set for wide release December 9 on Modus Vivendi Music but is currently available online, exclusively at Beatport.com. A video clip for song "Tigers in the Fire" is also planned for an imminent release.
Led by Elizabeth Wight, a frontwoman described by Sparro as being "like Deborah Harry with raven-black hair," the Love Grenades fuse punk attitude, electronic beats and seductive vocals to create a sound that's rapidly winning over Los Angeles audiences. Tracks such as "Tigers in the Fire" and "Young Lovers" have been on heavy rotation in local underground dance clubs well before their official release, in addition to making playlists on radio stations KCRW and INDIE 103.1. LA Weekly has called the band "as scorching as they are seductive - a collective soundtrack for making out one-on-one or maxing out with a hundred sweaty strangers on the dance floor." ClassicGeekTheatre blog recently asserted, "Love Grenades writes a better James Bond song than Jack White." The Love Grenades are currently preparing material for their full-length debut album, due next summer.
