The Who Honored By Dave Grohl, Chris Cornell

(FMQB) Sunday night's Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, DC took an unusual Rock & Roll turn as The Who was honored alongside Country singer George Jones, Barbra Streisand, actor Morgan Freeman and choreographer Twyla Tharp.

Kennedy Center honorees are recognized for their lifetime contributions to American culture through the performing arts, and The Who made history as the first Rock band to be regaled with the honor.

Actor/Rocker Jack Black introduced the legendary British band before Dave Grohl, Chris Cornell, Joss Stone and others paid tribute to them in front of a diverse crowd of politicians and musicians at the capitol's Opera House. - more on this story
