Recorded in Paris, Velocifero was produced by Ladytron with additional production from Alessandro Cortini (Nine In Nails) and Vicarious Bliss of Ed Banger Records (Justice, DJ Mehdi, Busy P); the album was mixed by Michael Patterson (Beck, P. Diddy).
Velocifero is the follow up to the band's 2005 release Witching Hour, which Ladytron toured the world behind for nearly two years, both as headliners and as support for such acts as Nine Inch Nails and the Chemical Brothers. Pitchdork called the album "the most urgent and immediate [album] of their career...it not only has a pulse, it has chilled blood in its veins." yadda, yadda, yadda... Ladytron is planning a worldwide tour for the rest of this year and into 2009; here are the North American dates.
