The holidays have been anything but happy for the alternative-metal band. On the day before Thanksgiving, cameras caught thieves stealing the band's amplifiers and other valuable sound equipment. "I think someone has a target aimed right at us. We're in the crosshairs," said bassist Stevie Benton.
Convinced that the thieves focused on them alone, DROWNING POOL moved the rest of their gear from a rehearsal studio in North Dallas to Public Storage just a block away. But as bad luck would have it, lighting would strike twice exactly one month later.
"I got here and saw it was cut, and then I opened the door up and literally started crying," said guitarist C.J. Pierce.
