(PR) Irish chanteuse Gemma Hayes is gearing up to release her third album, The Hollow of Morning on September 30 via Second Motion Records.

Kevin Shields of My Bloody Valentine contributes guitar on two tracks and Paul Noonan of Bell X1 plays drums throughout the album. My Bloody Valentine have invited Hayes to perform on their curated stage at this year's All Tomorrow's Parties first east coast festival on September 21 at Kutshers Country Club in Monticello, NY. Hayes joins Dinosaur Jr., Mogwai, Mercury Rev and the Lilys. Hayes is also set to headline at the Mercury Lounge on September 22 in New York City.

The Hollow of Morning is a ten-track filigree of melody and subtle harmonic rhythms featuring the first single "Out of Our Hands." The album was co-produced by long-time collaborator David Odlum, who worked on Hayes' Mercury-nominated debut, Night on My Side. The Hollow of Morning is the perfect hybrid of Odlum and Hayes with the sunlit sparkle of California.

Album highlights include the first single, "Out Of Our Hands," which deftly combines the subtle fragility of Hayes voice with guitar driven melodies. The opening track "This Is What You Do," is a haunting and gentle acoustic dawn. The sparse winter sentiment of "January 14th" is a dark, heartbreaking letter to a lost love. As the album progresses the songs take on more layers and urgency, while still retaining a transparent quality. "Home," is a towering example of strength and subtlety combined. "In over My Head," is a soaring, declaration of abandonment while the simply elegant "Chasing Dragons," echoes Gram Parsons, Emmy Lou Harris and Nick Drake.
