Feudal "models a modern day Sun Studios," says Feudal President, Robert Shahnazarian Jr. Similar to Sun Studios, Shahnazarian has his own simple three step motto: "sign exceptionally unique artists, produce great records, and release it to the public."
Currently Shahnazarian works with Los Angeles based pop music ensemble, The Library, Detroit born electronic artist Orka Veer, and female artist silentviolet. Shahnazarian prefers recording at Hollywood's Westlake Studios (site of Michael Jackson's Thriller) and North Hollywood's Bill Schnee Studio (site of Miles Davis' Amandla) and often records from his home studio.
The Library signed with Feudal Records in 2007. Their extensive tour in 2006-2007 allowed them to share the stage with major-label artists including De La Soul, Ghostface Killah', Honeycut, and West India Girl, and perform at world-famous venues including the House of Blues Sunset Strip, The Knitting Factory Hollywood, and Avalon (formerly The Historic Palace Theater). The band made their national television debut on the Lifetime network in November 2007. Currently in the recording stages of their debut album, Feudal prepares to release "The Audio Testimony" at the end of summer.
Feudal, known for artists with a unique sound and passion, also joined forces with Orka Veer in 2007. Shahnazarian describes Orka Veer's sound as an "electronic landscape evoking modern imagery of urban existence". Feudal re-mastered Orka Veer's album "Sam's Solutions" and re-released it online with 100% of Orka Veer's profits benefiting an autistic charity.
