Lead singer Chris Martin has described this album as a new direction for Coldplay as their past three albums have been referred to as a 'trilogy.' Martin has also revealed that this album features much less of his falsetto, allowing his voice's lower register to take precedence.
Coldplay will perform two songs from their new album "Viva la Vida" and "Violet Hill" on the "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" Pontiac Garage Outdoor Stage.
