In an interview with Rolling Stone last week, Trey Anastasio didn't exactly say the band has talked about a reunion, but he did drop some heavy hints. more

Metallica's future at Warner may be short-lived. The band already sells recordings of its concerts over the Internet. The company lost MADONNA to Live Nation Inc., which signed her last year. Other popular artists, such as JAY-Z, NINE INCH NAILS and Radiohead, have also abandoned major labels in this decade. more

Country music singer Chris Cagle has been arrested for domestic assault in Nashville after police said he and his girlfriend got into a drunken fight. Corrections officials say Cagle and his girlfriend, Jennifer Tant, have been jailed on misdemeanor domestic assault charges. more

Rapper T.I. is turning his legal woes into an eight-episode MTV documentary series. Ish Entertainment will follow the hip-hop star while he performs more than 1,000 hours of community service before starting a one-year prison sentence more

Amy Winehouse's lyrics have been used in a Cambridge University exam question. One of the institution's final exams asked English students to compare Winehouse's words to the 'Back To Black' track 'Love Is A Losing Game' to works by another writer. more

The Cribs are set to play a one-off gig consisting solely of B-sides when they support Stephen Malkmus And The Jicks at the London Shepherd's Bush Empire on June 5. more

Motley Crue has a message for Sarnia [Ontario, Canada] councillor Dave Boushy and his objection to their upcoming performance at Sarnia Bayfest [music festival taking place this July in Sarnia]. Speaking via conference call Wednesday, rock's bad boys jumped at the opportunity to comment on Boushy's claim their off-stage antics are pornographic. "He's right," said bass player Nikki Sixx. "People like him are always out to attack rock and roll, you know. God bless them, man. Robert Pollard's first release on his own label, Guided By Voices Inc., is out June 3 and early reviews are some of the best of recent releases. His first book, "Town of Mirrors," a collection of the many collages Pollard has worked on over the years (some have graced the covers of GBV and his solo releases) is due out Aug. 6 on Fantagraphics.

Sony has just set up a stream for an unreleased live version of "Just The Way You Are" from the upcoming The Stranger 30th Anniversary releases. The album is being released as a two-disc Legacy Edition and a two-disc and DVD Deluxe Limited Edition set. The second disc (which this track comes from) is of Billy's June 3, 1977 performance at Carnegie Hall, which has never been released before. - Check it out here
