(conqueroo) Since the release of their critically acclaimed self titled debut, the Gabe Dixon Band have been blazing a non-stop trail from town to town converting audiences into believers on a nightly basis, showcasing what the Minneapolis Star-Tribune calls their "piano-fueled boogie-soul-rock" on tours with Stephen Kellogg & the Sixers, and VH1 "Artist You Oughta Know" Justin Nozuka.

In November, the band will embark on a tour of the East Coast and Midwest with soulful Atlantic recording artist Marc Broussard promoting his own new release titled Keep Coming Back. The tour opens in New York on November 9th at Irving Plaza, and includes dates at Boston's Paradise Rock Club and Philadelphia's Theater of the Living Arts.

Seen by Americans coast-to-coast on The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson in early September, and with a video featured on YouTube's front page, the group has gone on to receive press accolades galore. American Songwriter described their music as a "timeless collection" that's "sonically sublime and pulsing with soul, whimsy and wit." Paste's online 'zine wrote, "Dixon will remind you of Elton when he still had hair and was making albums like Tumbleweed Connection and Madman Across the Water. That's high praise, and this is one of my favorite records of the year." Sonic Boomers.com opined: "burning with quiet but undeniable soul. This is a musician who may not fit how artists are sliced up these days, but those are also the ones, once heard, that make the most lasting difference. Gabe Dixon can do that. Listen."

To that, Performing Songwriter added: "Early Elton left us sometime after 1971, but the best parts of him have been resurrected on a self-titled album by the Gabe Dixon Band. [Their] music isn't just reminiscent of those old records it has the potential to be just as great." JamBase wrote: "If you've not yet caught the buzz surrounding the Gabe Dixon Band, allow me to introduce the trio and add to the critical
acclaim [their Fantasy debut] may likely wind up at the top of many critics' year end lists." And Nashville's Tennessean summed it up: "(Gabe) deserves to join the ranks of Jackson Browne and early Elton John in the pop pantheon."

The band's high-concept "human piano" video for the first single "Till You're Gone" (directed by Paul Cummings & Tony Fiandaca) was recently featured as one of YouTube's front page Featured Videos getting over 100,000 views in a 24-hour period.
