The hard rock heavyweights upcoming tour has becoming the hottest ticket in town with shows selling out in minutes. In fact they are so in demand that additional shows have already been added Los Angeles, Oakland and Chicago.
For this tour the band took a big gamble with a flat rate $90.50 for any seat in the house ticket pricing model and it worked. We also told you last week that some of the best seats in the house would only be available via "paperless" tickets and asked readers to write in let us know what kind of fee if any that Ticketbastard might be adding to these. Quite a few readers did write in to let us know.
Abbey from Washington told us that "I ordered tickets this morning, and there's actually no fee for the paperless tickets. I think you have to pay MORE if you get paper tickets. And for god's sake, 90$ a pop for tickets has got me scraping my savings account... it better be worth it! That's all I have to say about that."
But Ed at GotTix.com had a slightly different tale. It appears that there isn't a direct fee for the paperless tickets, but when he purchased 2 tickets for the Los Angeles show he was hit with "a mail processing fee of $4.10 for a grand total of $219.90 (plus $40 for fan club, limit 2 tix per membership)." So it appears there is a fee to mail tickets that aren't being mailed. If anyone knows how that works, we'd love to know. Here is the breakdown of fees that Ed provided (mail processing fee was apparently listed separately from the main receipt).
Ticket Price | Building/Facility Charge | Convenience Charge
US $90.50 | US $3.00 | US $14.40
