Drunken Eyes- The singer of the 1980s love song "Hungry Eyes" has pleaded no contest to drunken driving and failing to control his car and has been sentenced to a month in an Ohio jail. A Bedford Municipal Court judge on Wednesday ordered Eric Carmen to report to jail April 25. [Perhaps what drove him to drink was hearing Sealion Dion's (or an American Idoler) butcher his hit "All by Myself"? On Wednesday, April 29, Tony Bennett will present his painting of Duke Ellington to the Smithsonian Institution's National Portrait Gallery to mark the 110th anniversary of Ellington's birth in Washington, D.C. Immediately following the presentation, the portrait will be hung in the museum's "New Arrivals" gallery. The former guitarist for the band Lovedrug, David Thomas Owen IV's will release his debut solo LP, Solace My King, July 14th on Esperanza Plantation (Colour Revolt, Bear Colony). Recorded at Insomniac Studios in Arkansas with friends and former Lovedrug members Matthew Depper (bass) and Matthew Putman (drums), Owen composed most of the songs on piano, an instrument he wasn't very familiar with but one he quickly realized better suited his vision.
