With this coronation, Thomas ties Pink with the most No. 1's by a solo artist in the charts history, according to Billboard.com. "Her Diamonds" is the #1 song at HOT AC in the U.S. #1 at all radio formats in Australia, the #1 video on VH1 "Top 20 Countdown," and knocked off the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, from the #1 slot on iTunes in Australia, capping off a dizzying promotional run that included performances and appearances on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," "The View," "Fox & Friends," a summer concert series performance on "The Today Show" and "The Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular" all chronicled by Thomas and followed by thousands of fans on his official Twitter page @ThisIsRobThomas.
On August 31st Thomas will do a very special performance at the Opening Night Ceremony of the 2009 US Opens' "Athletes Who Give Back" event. This special evening of tennis and charity celebrates athletes who have devoted their energies to supporting causes and this year includes Andre Agassi, Mia Hamm, David Robinson and Doug Flutie. ESPN2 will air the event in its entirety.
On September 23rd in Hollywood, FL, Thomas will kick off "the cradlesong tour '09," his second full-fledged solo tour and the first in support of his new Emblem/Atlantic Records release.
The tour will include special guests One Republic and Carolina Liar and concludes with a three-night, sold out stand at New York's famed Beacon Theater beginning on November 11th.
