Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson (real name Alex Zivojinovich) was arrested on New Year's Eve after a drunken row with police at the posh Ritz-Carlton hotel in Naples, Florida. The trouble started after Lifeson's 33-year-old son refused to leave the hotel's stage during a New Year's Eve celebration. Sheriff's deputies reportedly had to use a stun gun on the 50-year-old rock veteran. more

Michael Jackson was indicted Wednesday by a Santa Barbara County grand jury investigating child molestation allegations, according to news reports. Grand jury indictments are usually secret until a defendant is arraigned. The grand jury proceedings in the Jackson case replaced a preliminary hearing, which determines whether there is enough evidence for the case to go to trial.

Ozzy Osbourne has revealed that he "died" twice after his quad-bike accident. The former Black Sabbath frontman was saved by his bodyguard Sam Ruston, who gave the singer mouth to mouth when he stopped breathing. "If it wasn't for Sam I probably wouldn't be here. Robert Quine, a noted guitarist of the New York rock scene of the 1970's and 80's who played with Richard Hell, Lou Reed and others, died last week in his home in Manhattan. He was 61. He was found dead by the police on Saturday, said James Marshall, a friend. The police found a note and said they believed the death was a suicide but are awaiting a medical examiner's report. more

Lollapalooza 2004 will not be coming to a town near you. Organizers for the tour have pulled the plug, canceling the tour only three weeks before it was set to kick off. Rapper Mystikal (real name Michael Tyler) was sentenced to six years in prison Thursday after pleading guilty to sexual battery against his hair stylist. The 33-year-old Grammy-nominated rapper was arrested last summer in Louisiana, following an incident on July 3rd at his home where his hair stylist claims that Tyler forced her to have sex by threatening to have her prosecuted for stealing money from his checking account. more

Surf rock pioneer Jan Berry of 'Jan & Dean' passed at away in a Los Angeles hospital on Friday at the age of 62. Berry was one half of the surf rock duo that topped the charts in the mid sixties with hits like "Surf City," "Deadman's Curve" and "Little Old Lady from Pasadena," until their career was cut short by an auto accident in 1966 where Berry suffered brain damage and was partially paralyzed. more
