(antiMusic) A Billy Corgan-fronted group called Spirits in the Sky performed a new Smashing Pumpkins song at a tribute concert for psych-rock pioneer Sky "Sunlight" Saxon in Los Angeles on Sunday. Corgan was joined onstage by new Smashing Pumpkins drummer Mike Byrne. More including video is here

Sunday night at the Jisan Rock festival outside of Seoul, Weezer debuted two new songs. The first, "I'm Your Daddy," is a straightforward blast of power-pop, and Spin says that the second track, "The Girl Got Hot," is the better of the two new numbers. Coldplay are the latest band to appear in 'The Simpsons', following in the footsteps of Aerosmith and Michael Jackson, among others. Chris Martin will play himself in the episode in which Coldplay perform a private show for Bart and Homer, after Homer wins a million dollars in the lottery. more
