Nirvana Member Running For Political Office

. (thedailyworld.com) One-time Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic filed Wednesday to run for county clerk in Wahkiakum County as a member of the "Grange Party" in a bid to bring attention to problems he sees in the Top Two primary election system.

Wahkiakum County Auditor Diane Tischer confirmed this morning that Novoselic filed for the one-year unexpired term of county clerk.

Novoselic, who is Master of the Grays River Grange, said in an e-mail to The Daily World this morning that he paid his $500-plus non-refundable fee and has the paperwork to prove he filed. - more on this story
