The Day in Rock Digest for 8/3: Sonic Syndicate bass player Karin Axelsson got seriously injured during the shoot of the band's brand new video for the song "Turn It Up." The accident occurred while shooting a scene where the band is being murdered with a guitar by a sexy girl. Intended to be a fake of course, Karin really got hit with the instrument on her head causing a laceration as well as a brain concussion. more

Slayer were forced to cancel Monday's concert at 013 in Tilburg, Holland after the band's guitarist, Kerry King, came down with "a horrible bout of food poisoning." more

Yellowcard has officially announced their reunion, signing a deal with Hopeless records and announcing plans for a new album early 2011. more

Medal of Honor and Linkin Park have released the premiere video for the band's new single "The Catalyst" off of their soon-to-be-released album, "A Thousand Suns." The video, directed by the band's Joe Hahn, features never-before-seen in-game clips from this October's videogame set within the current Afghanistan war, Medal of Honor, along with coinciding live-action footage.
