The Day in Rock Digest for 8/16/10: Boston.com has this tidbit (based on the word on an unnamed source, so read with a pound of salt): Curious why Aerosmith and J. Geils didn't do a tune together at Fenway? It might have to do with a last-minute feud between the bands' famously demanding frontmen Steven Tyler and Peter Wolf. We're told Tyler didn't want Wolf to use the ramp that extended into the audience and told him so the night before the show. According to our source, the singers had a "heated argument'' in the outfield as a few dozen workers put the finishing touches on the stage Friday. Needless to say, the emotions were not so sweet. more

Disturbed have announced a new batch of tour dates set to take place in October alongside Hail The Villain and Art of Dying. After the success of the six part radio series My ReGeneration , hosted by Def Leppard's Joe Elliott on Planet Rock, the show has now been extended for another 13 weeks!
