Tricky premiered his new music video for the song "Murder Weapon," on Friday the 13th.

The track comes from his forthcoming album, Mixed Race, which will be released October 5th on Domino Records.

Directed by Fleur & Manu and featuring Irish-Italian Frankey Riley on vocals, "Murder Weapon" is a reworking of the classic dancehall hit from Jamaican-born Echo Minott. After falling in love with the song, Tricky was determined to hear how it would sound with a female vocalist, in a similar fashion to his reworking of Black Steel with Martina Topley-Bird, and recruited Riley to sing on the track. Fans can see the video here. "Murder Weapon" will be released on all digital platforms August 31st.

Produced by Tricky himself, Mixed Race was recorded in Paris, where he has been residing for the past two years. Musically his production work takes influences from UK, Jamaican, US, North African and French music. The album introduces an array of talented singers and collaborators including Frankey Riley, Jamaican singer Terry Lynn, Primal Scream front man Bobby Gillespie, lutist/vocalist Hakim Hamadouche, London-based vocalist Blackman and Tricky's brother Marlon Thaws, who is the thirteenth of his fourteen siblings.
