This news comes on the heels of the announcement that Kanye West, Drake and Florence + The Machine will perform at this year's show, which will also feature appearances by Nicki Minaj, Emma Stone, Penn Badgley, Trey Songz, Selena Gomez and Ne-Yo. The "2010 MTV Video Music Awards" will air live from Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at 9PM (Live ET/Tape delayed PT.) MTV will announce additional performers, presenters and host on a later date. As the house artist, Deadmau5 will serve as the musical maestro for the duration of the show and will create original remixes from a variety of artists including live musical guests. The Toronto native, Deadmau5 AKA Joel Zimmerman, is one of the top ranked electronic music artists in the world. Earlier this year he headlined at Coachella Music & Arts Festival, Ultra Music Festival and LA'S Electronic Daisy Carnival, as well as made appearances at Sasquatch and Bonnaroo. His latest album For Lack Of A Better Name is available now on Ultra Records and will be releasing a new album this winter.
