Liam Declares Beady Eye Better Than Oasis

(hennemusic) Liam Gallagher has told NME that he thinks Beady Eye's debut album, "Different Gear, Still Speeding" due February 28 - contains songs "as good as 'Definitely Maybe,' if not better."

1994's "Definitely Maybe" sold millions of copies and established Oasis as a band to be reckoned with right out of the gate. The album regularly rates in the top 10 of British album polls, and often at #1 ahead of music by The Beatles.

Gallagher was speaking in a world-exclusive interview in this week's Christmas issue of NME, on UK newsstands December 15. He declared the album, out February 28, a "f**king top debut." more on this story
