Gerry Rafferty, the 63-year-old singer, has suffered kidney failure and has been on a life support machine since being admitted to a hospital in Bournemouth, England. Doctors told his fiancée, Enzina Fischini, that he had little chance of survival, although Rafferty's condition improved once he was taken off the support machines.
