Midlake Release New Album, Announce Tour, and Film with Jason Lee

. On the heels of their triumphant 2006 release The Trials of Van Occupanther, Texas' own Midlake have released The Courage of Others, their grand, orchestral follow-up.

Drawing upon influences of Simon and Garfunkel and Crosby Stills and Nash, The Courage of Others finds the band in a darker place, producing much heavier and somber content than ever before.

The guys also got together with friend (and My Name Is Earl star) Jason Lee to appear in his short film, the trailer of which can be seen here

This spring, look for the band on tour, bringing their vintage rock to small clubs across the US.
