We kick off with this big new for Aerosmith fans: Aerosmith with Steven Tyler, and Rage Against The Machine have been announced as headliners at this year's Download festival, which returns for an eighth year to Donington Park and will be held Friday, June 11th to Sunday, June 13th. more

Speaking of Rage Against The Machine, NME reports that the reunited group are set to follow their free 'X Factor' London victory gig this June with a show at the Dublin O2 on June 8th. more

An updated version of VH1's "Behind The Music" documentary on Def Leppard, aptly called "Def Leppard Behind The Music: Remastered", will be broadcast on VH1 Classic in the US and Canada on February 27. The new version contains additional updated footage and interviews that cover the band's career since the original 1998 broadcast of the show.more

Lady Gaga, Green Day and a reunited Soundgarden are expected to headline the 2010 Lollapalooza festival in Chicago according to this report.

Doug Fieger, leader of the power pop band The Knack who sang on the 1979 hit "My Sharona," died Sunday. He was 57. Fieger, a Detroit-area native, died at his home in Woodland Hills near Los Angeles after battling cancer, according to The Knack's manager, Jake Hooker. more

While only Fashion Week can persuade Guns N' Roses to play a secret show for 200 fans, it can't force frontman Axl Rose to turn up on time, according to the New York Post, who also broke the news about the surprise gig. They report that Axl was nearly three hours "fashionable" late for his show at what used to be the famed C.B.G.B's club. The show finally got started just before 1 a.m. more

Iron Maiden have completed the recording process for their new album at Compass Point Studios in Nassau, Bahamas with producer Kevin Shirley. According to a posting on Kevin's official web site, "There's still work to do, but the band portion is complete and in the can, so to speak." more

AP had this follow up report on Monday: Police in California have arrested a suspect in the killing of prominent guitar maker Taku Sakashta. Police arrested 28-year-old Joshua Rhea Begley early Monday in Rohnert Park on suspicion of murder, burglary and evading police. He is being held without bail. more
